"Being a part of Scottie's Circle just takes a monthly commitment of any amount. Even a recurring monthly gift of $10 can provide the essentials for a woman joining our program."
It sounds almost too simple to be true. Giving less than most of us spend on a coffee run twice a week, and it can mean the difference between a woman walking into her first day of recovery with what she needs, or with nothing at all.
That is the heart of Scottie's Circle, The Launch Pad's monthly giving program, named for the woman who built this organization out of her own hard-won recovery.
Why a monthly gift?
The Launch Pad doesn't have a one-time need — it has new women walking through the door on a rolling basis, month after month, each one needing the same essentials the last woman needed. A monthly gift matches the actual rhythm of the problem. It means the organization isn't scrambling every time a new intake happens; it means there's already a supply line running.
But what does that $10, or $25, or $50 a month become in a resident's hand? It's the shampoo that lets her feel human again after a shower. It's the toothbrush that lets her walk into a job interview without worrying about her breath. It's the deodorant, the razor, the lotion, the basic things most of us restock without a second thought and never once considered a privilege.
When you give a monthly gift, you’ll be helping cover costs for items like:
Essential needs for residents
Job training and development
Housing maintenance and repairs
Ongoing addiction treatment
Transportation to necessary appointments
